Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
In Ultrasonic Testing (UT), short ultrasonic pulse-waves (typically 0.1–15 MHz) are transmitted into materials to detect internal flaws or characterise materials. UT is commonly performed on steel and other metals and alloys, and can also be used on concrete, wood and composites.
